I am having difficulties accessing my CD/DVD LG drive from Windows Explorer. I have attempted to follow this guide:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060

The registry key UpperFilters was not present, and after deleting LowerFilters, it was not restored upon restarting the computer.

I took a quick look at Device Manager, but I did not see it listed in the hardware peripherals on the system.

The CD/DVD is LG, and it is getting quite aged, is the only remaining possibility a broken drive? It does open, and upon closing, it does have the read light activate.

Thank you for your assistance.
