AVG 8 won't let me access web pages

i'mhaving trouble with AVG i had the 7.5 free version but now they say i have to purchase the new 2008 version for a mere $49.95. i don;t have it.i downloaded a free 8.0 version and now i cant access my mail or search any pages

I have been seeing a lot of issues with avg8. I've looked over at grisoft.com and didn't see anything that would help. If you really want to use avg, I would suggest posting in their forums.

The free version doesn't offer the full internet protection suit, but I suspect there might be an issue with the avg plugin for your browser.

I would also highly recommend Avast as a free alternative.
