They are entries from your hosts file.
Basically what it does is it block those sites.
You can restore them later with Spybot S&D.

Moving on....

First,

Make sure Teatimer is disabled.

Disable Spybot S&D (Teatimer)

1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools
4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
6. Restart your computer.

Then,

Download Mozilla Firefox
This is in case your Internet explorer doesn't work then you need to install.

Next,

Temporarily disable Zonelaram then proceed with the scan.

Here are links in case you need it.
http://www.leeindy.c...hutdown-1.shtml
http://www.hoax-slay...zone-alarm.html

Finally,

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Please post back with
- New HijackThis log
- Rapport.txt

I already have Firefox installed, and it is the default browser. I also have Sea Monkey installed. (besides IE)
Did I mess up by not deleting that one file? The one I mentioned after the scan in safe mode? Should I go back and delete that file? Ok I will work on what you said to do next.

Just read through and follow my last posted fix and you'll be fine.
Since you already have Firefox, you don't need to download it.

Post back when ready... :)

So what I think you are saying is go back and delete that one file? (I just finished reading all you said)
Spybot S&D is still where you said, on Advanced, and no tea timer. I am ready to do the safe mode thing again, but I believe you want me to delete that file I didn't do earlier. Is that right?

I am ready, just guessing you want me to delete the file I missed previously...well on purpose. Is that correct?

Well it was the only file left, and since I am doing this again, that must be what you want. I will do it, then get back to you in a few.
