I download a file to a specific location and when the download completes, even though the box isn't checked for it to close itself, it does. I go to the location to retrieve the file and it's not there. Never had this problem until a couple of days ago, and I can still download just fine with firefox.

Ok, I know everyone is doing this for free and patience is key so I want to start this out with a thank you to everyone that took the time to view this. Honestly though, I don't think the problem is going to get resolved anytime soon though. So rather than take up everyones time from others that probably need the help more I think I'm going to just start saving things I need to keep and just get around to formatting and reinstalling windows since I know for sure that it will solve the problem. Again thanks to everyone that took the time to view this, I just can't afford to have my computer down for days and I don't trust using it with personal information when it's doing funny things that aren't normal.
