Hi, any help with this would be greatly appreciated. For the past week or so the light on my pc tower has been staying on continuously......this is the red light that blinks when downloading something. About a half hour or so after I've stopped using my computer this light comes on and stays on. As soon as I touch the mouse, it goes off. It acts likes it's downloading something or running something but when I hit ctrl, alt, del, there is nothing running. The computer is still running fairly fast except when I initially click on something, it takes longer to come up. Any ideas out there?
Thanks, Juddan

Under XP when a computer becomes idle the Disk Defragmenter starts up and closes automatically once the system is in active use again. This is normal behaviour.
