What is the best way to turn off the new Windows Desktop Search as the default search and make the old Searh Companion the default?

I figured it out for myself. Thanks anyway

Run the registry editor regedit and then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Desktop Search\DS

Change the setting of ShowStartSearchBand to 0 to make the old Search Companion the default search window and change it back to 1 to make the new Windows Desktop Search the default search window. The change takes place immediately.
