I need help with FIRE WIRE?

OK, installed it last night, worked fine, copied some video to the computer and edited it everythings fine.

Today, nothing........plug the cable from the computer to the camcorder, nothing pops up
,ie;open with windows movie player or ulead player(came with "card"

I tried reinstalling the "card" to a different PCI port, reinstalling the install disc....NOTHING

any ideas?
