Okay, so someone gave me a Dell Inspiron 2500 (I know, old, but hey it was free!) And the computer contains a Master HDD Password that I MUST enter to get in. The problem is that I don't know it and I can't contact the person to get it...

So, my question is; How can I remove the password? Will taking out the CMOS battery work? Is there anything else I may be able to do (besides replace the HDD...)?

without getting the password from the original owner there's no way to remove that password....you could try contacting dell and see if they're of any help

other than that we can't help you here
