I had an older computer I wanted to scrap that had a 40g harddrive. It contained several hundred family photos, so I copied those (I thought), to a new external harddrive and formatted the old drive and removed it from the computer for possible use later. My wife now tells me the photos from our daughters first birthday party and her adoption day, aren't on the new harddrive. Is there any data recovery service that can recover photos from a formatted drive? I know it would be expensive, but at this point, that's not an issue.
Thanks for any help...Dave

You could try ontrack data recovery service but again that could be expensive.... there are some possible alternatives but if they don't work or are not used correctly you may do more damage..... I know someone who used ontrack to get back his family pics but it cost him about $1000.... their website is here:
