What has happenned and how do i go about fixing it? is there a button which locks the keyboard? its in Acer Aspire laptop.

do you have a USB keyboard that you could try with the laptop? there's usually not a button to kill the keyboard input...you can turn off the touchpad in control panel but usually there's no setting to disable the keyboard
