Hi Rochesterz_Finest,

Reinstalling windows over the top of your current installation isn't too much of a nightmare. But first make a backup of whatever you need backed up.

Hey there! I would try a couple other things before reinstalling Windows. 1) Check your connection between the speakers & the computer. 2) If possible, plug the speakers into something else to ensure that they actually work fine! 3) You may need to update your drivers for the particular speakers that you have. 4) Make sure that your sound is not muted. BTW- what version of Windows are are you running??

Hi Rochesterz_Finest,

To reinstall Windows:

1. Start Windows, and then insert the Windows 98 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Click Browse This CD, and then double-click Setup.exe.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the Windows Setup procedure.

If you don't know how do it folow this link.
