Hiya all.

I need some help when installing COD 4, during installation i recieve an error message that reads " Error 1305. Error reading from file E:\Setup\Data\main\iw_00.iwd. verify that the file exists and you can access it."

I can verify that the file is there but i'm am unable to open the file, there isn't any physical damage to the disc.

Do you use windows Vista?

if so, make sure you run the installation as administrator.

- Right click on the "setup.exe" button
- Select "Run as administrator"
- Continue the installation

let me now.

Only solution I have heard of, that actually worked, is to perform a "Clean Boot"

How to perform a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

After the clean boot, enter MSconfig again, and select normal boot. Reboot.

Now try install CoD4.

you shouldn't need to copy all the cd's. Just copy the one, and when prompted to insert the next cd, point to the proper location and you should be good to go.
