Going into Standby

Im having a problem when i try to put my computer on standby. When i push the button to into standby, instead of doing that it restarts the computer. I dont know why or how it does it, but its very annoying. Any help is much appreciated.

I think this can be fixed by going to Control Panel then Power Options. For my laptop with WinXP, there's an option there with regards to what it should do when the sleep/standby button is pressed. Try that one. Hope it helps.
