I have been dealing with the win32.hupigon.ceru trojan for a couple of days.
First, Symantec picked up dowloader and deletes it. I also run A squared and that picked up 3 files. A squared doesn't delete all the files, so I use the gipo [email protected] program to remove the files identified by a squared. After reviewing the posts in these forums I have also run SuperAntiSpyware as well.
The Trojan sets Internet Explorer as the default browser [but I run Firefox], and downloads some stuff that Symantec picks up as downloader - one file in the IE cache and c:\windows\system32\wicheck080617.dll. I cannot find the A squared logs that I created, but there were files in the system32\inf directory [fdbhwbys16_0618.dll, bedhwb080618, a screensaver, and svchowb.exe]. Plus there was a netmeetingsysw file in the netmeeting program files directory..
I thought I got it all, but it came back again this morning.
