Hi, I'm transferring data using the Belkin Easy Transfer cable between two Dell 32 bit Vista laptops. Both recognize the cable and start the transfer, but then at various points show a blinking cable end icon with a red "X" over it and the green bar stops moving. They'll sit like this overnight until I cancel out and start over. I made sure the cable was connected to the equivalent port in both laptops. I took it out and put it back in to both. I connected it to both simultaneously. The cable is most definitely not coming undone. What's the deal?

Thanks!

P.S. I don't know if this means anything, but the green light on the little box in the middle of the cable is not lit. I think it was at the beginning.
