I have run adaware, cwshredder (nothing appears on this), spybot S&D, ccleaner, and my virus protection software F-secure. I can get rid of everything until nothing shows up on any of the scans and work the whole day, but when I shut down my laptop and then log in the next day all the trojans are there and my F-secure picks up a bunch of trojans that need to be deleted. Here is my Hijack log if anyone can help. Sorry I posted this message earlier in the wrong forum.

That sounds like the pits. ;)

Let's start off by disabling system restore. Instructions are below. Don't reset your restore points until we get it cleaned up. :tazz:

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(Windows XP)
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Even though you have antivirus software on your system, it can become corrupted by malware. We have some options. Please use IE to download the virus scans,

Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean" checkbox):
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

or

http://www.pandasoft...n_principal.htm

The free trojan scans are here:

http://www.moosoft.com/

and here:

http://tds.diamondcs...p?page=download

download & install the 30 day free trial, update it manually as described here http://tds.diamondcs...php?page=update as the trial version doesn't have auto update enabled

then press scan control & tick all the little boxes in the bottom part of that window, press save configuration and then close that window by pressing the red X in top right corner, then select system testing and select full system scan
Reboot your PC.

]You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.
Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:
do you know what the next four entries are? If so, don't delete them down below.

C:\PFXENG~1\Common\PFXEngDesktopService.exe
C:\PFXENG~1\Common\PFXSYNPFTService.exe
C:\CCHLOGIN\logexp.exe
C:\Pfx Engagement\WM\PfxPDFConvertService.exe

Exit the Task Manager when finished.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: ohb - {999A06FF-10EF-4A29-8640-69E99882C26B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsj16D.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [cfgmgr51] RunDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr51.dll,DllRun
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinTask driver] C:\WINDOWS\system32\wintask.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE<<resource hog

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://www.blockbuster.com (I don't put anything in my trusted zone.)

These 016s will be downloaded the next time you visit the site you need.

O16 - DPF: {238F6F83-B8B4-11CF-8771-00A024541EE3} (Citrix ICA Client) - http://my.pbgh.com/C...ca32/wficat.cab

O23 - Service: PFXEngDesktopService - Unknown owner - C:\PFXENG~1\Common\PFXEngDesktopService.exe<<same as above
O23 - Service: PFXSYNPFTService - Unknown owner - C:\PFXENG~1\Common\PFXSYNPFTService.exe<<same as above, don't check them if you know what they are and need them

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsj16D.dll
RunDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr51.dll,DllRun
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wintask.exe

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

If you were unable to find any of the files then please follow these additional instructions:
Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.
Run it, and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.
The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.
Let the system reboot.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and we'll remove what's left. ;)

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I started to follow some of the steps you gave me, and I got somewhat lost. This is a work laptop and the day you responed I actually had one of my tech guys here in the office and we ended up just clearing everything off the hard drive and starting from fresh. I really didn't have important saved on it, and I could just download everything else I needed. He even tried using some of the procedures you gave us, but he said the best option to make sure we got rid of everything was just to clear it all. Those 4 applications you asked me about to see if I knew what they were, those were for my work. The one with engagement in it, and a couple other ones.

I am definitely going to make a small donation using my paypal account since I think you guys are doing a great service to other people facing these problems. It's good to know we have someone on our side trying to fight these nasty trojans people are coming up with. Thanks for your time and help.
