Everything was working fine, I shut down my computer and then started it up again a bit later and now the only thing that starts up properly is internet explorer..

Everything else just gives me this error message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate the application.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Please :[.

And its impossible for me to run an anti-spyware program because that gives the error too!

What operating system? What application? Is there any information in the logs?

Vista 64-bit operating system
what application? Everything, firefox, itunes, any games, everything but IE.

In the logs? I don't know.. I'm sorry, I hardly know anything of computers! I am so lost :[

I used this Dependency Walker thing, and apparrently its because my GPSVC.DLL is broken? or something..
Is there a way i can get a new one??

What more information could I give? I know nothing.. all I know is when I try to open anything it gives me that error.

Id you have a Windows XP cd you can do a repair install of the OS. If you don't have a CD, Find one somewhere to use.
