I came to this site a few months ago to solve some malware issues. We ran some scans, cleared some bugs, and I thought I was in the clear. Trouble is, since then, my computer is slower than ever - to the point where multitasking is a distant memory. As of this post, with only (to my knowledge) Firefox and AVG running, my cpu usage spiked up to 70% before erratically falling back to around 40-50%. My current antivirus program (which I installed after final cleanup) has not once found an issue, yet the computer continues to run like molasses. I was curious as to whether or not this may have to do with some temp files that may still be taking up space on my harddrive after the last cleanup. I was hoping I could start fresh with one of you guys, maybe get a second opinion on the matter. For old times sake, here's a copy of my latest HJT scan, in case t might reveal anything. I run on Windows XP with service pack 2 installed, and for some reason, i think its pro, not home version.

Thanks in advance guys! (Also, it might be of interest to note that I recently messed with my host file, as per one of your staff member's request. I'm not quite sure what I may have done wrong, but it seems to have had a negative effect on my internet connection on occasion, i.e.: ill just get a blank window the first couple times i open firefox)
