If I Install Windows XP, Will It get Rid of my Vista?

I have windows vista already installed on my laptop, its ok i suppose

, but i want to install XP....If I install XP will it write over Vista or install as a seperate OS?

Thanks People.

Also my laptop is an

Asus F3SR-AP074C,
will XP work on my laptop?
