Well I have windows XP and a Motorola SB5101 SURFboard cable modem, with a linksys WRT55AG wireless a+g broadband router. And everyday my modem keeps disconnecting for some reason. It works fine for a period a time then it turns off and i have to fix it. If anyone can help me please do.

When you say it turns off, you actually mean the modem loses power?

You might want to check the wires for damage if that's the case.

You might want to consider asking your ISP for support or a new Modem if it keeps turning off.
It might be broken and even if I would want to fix broken hardware, we can't :)
