XP,Itunes and picasa2 conflict?

Hi,
I hope someone can help me.

I'm running XP home edition version 2002 with service pack 3. on a PH Pavilion pentium 4, 3.60 GHz processer with 1Gb ram.

I have 2 disc drives, HP DVD writer 630c & samaung DVD-ROM SD-616E

The problem I have is that the HP DVD writer 630c is not recognised as a writer when I try and burn a gift CD or DVD using Picasa2 i get an error message " No recordable device found".

I've been told that Itunes could be the problem......

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Since writing the 1st question I have unistalled and reinstalled itunes, now the drive is working with Picasa2.
I still have a problem though, discs are not recognised and auto play isn't functioning when exploring the drives.

Anyone got any ideas?
