Well, uh hello there. I'm new here as you can guess and your site really helps me in troubles. My problem is like the one mentioned here: http://www.geekstogo...ey-t199040.html. i did everything but i don't think it worked out for me as well as the other guy. i downloaded the malware program and nothing. i did the system restore and it helped. now it doesnt show the errors but when i start up windows it just loads the background and shows no errors. i know i can just ctrl+alt+supr and run explorer.exe but this isnt normal so i just want to know if u can help me.

So now for the Hijackthis log and the Combo Fix log.

Thanks in advanced. :)

I forgot... Really sorry :)

When i click on the display options i get the error of rundll32.exe same logs and everything i just had forgotten. i dont know if that would help.

Hi Ivanpm,

Welcome to Geeks to Go!
I am sage5, and I will be helping you with this problem.

Create a Startup list & an Uninstall list:
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the Open Misc Tools Section button.
  • Make sure that the 2 boxes next to the Generate Startuplist log button are ticked
  • Now click on the Generate Startuplist log button.
  • NotePad will open startuplist.txt in a new window.
  • Also in the Misc Tools section, click Open Uninstall Manager
  • Click Save list.
This generates uninstall_list.txt in the same folder as HijackThis.
I will need you to paste the text from this file, as well as the text from startuplist.txt into your next post

ok. i got the error of userinit at startup:

2 messages of the same error.
userinit.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Then when i want to get on my display and it gives me the rundll32.exe error:

2 messages of the same error.
rundll32.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Next i try to open cmd and i get an error too:

2 messages of the same error.
cmd.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

And thats all i have found but in the rundll32.exe i think that program does alot of stuff and if i try to open any of those it says that error.

oh, btw i cannot click on anything in control panel because it gives me the rundll32.exe error.

Hi Ivanpm,

Run HijackThis.
  • Click the Do a system scan only button.
  • Check the boxes for the all the entries listed below:
O2 - BHO: {12759758-d4e0-fd38-f434-fbc30d1e7554} - {4557e1d0-3cbf-434f-83df-0e4d85795721} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\encuuiot.dll
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BitTorrent DNA] "C:\Program Files\DNA\btdna.exe"
O23 - Service: MySQL - Unknown owner - C:\Program.exe (file missing)

  • Now close all windows other than HijackThis and click Fix Checked.
  • Close HijackThis.

Remove folders & files:
  • Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following, (if present):
Java 2 Runtime Environment SE v1.4.1

Please take note of any other programs that you don't recognise in that list, and include them in your next response

Create a CombFix Script:
  • Please open Notepad
    • Click Start , then Run
    • Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.
  • Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:
File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\encuuiot.dll

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tgbbhbap.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pwtypnwj.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cauiglni.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fbhkudlg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmax20.ocx

Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\WINDOWS\system32\\guard32.dll"
[HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
"C:\\Program Files\\DNA\\btdna.exe"=-
"D:\\Program Files\\BitTorrent\\bittorrent.exe"=-
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{caee3f1f-1559-11dc-ac73-001617206c73}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{d81feb18-15fa-11dc-ac7b-001617206c73}]

  • Save the above as CFScript.txt
  • Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.
    Posted Image
  • After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please post the following reports/logs into your next reply:
  • Combofix.txt
  • A new HijackThis log.

Hi Ivanpm,

Run HijackThis.
  • Click the Do a system scan only button.
  • Check the boxes for the all the entries listed below:
O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-0014-0001-0000-ABCDEFFEDCBA} (Java Runtime Environment 1.4.1) -
  • Now close all windows other than HijackThis and click Fix Checked.
  • Close HijackThis.

After that your log should be clean, so we can deal with some final cleanup tasks.

Of the apps mentioned:
Bonjour & DNA -->> these can both go.

MSXML 4.0 SP2 Parser and SDK (and some other versions of the same MSXML) -->> these are part of Windows & should be left alone.

Clean out cookies, temp files etc:
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox browser
    • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.

NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    If you use Opera browser
    • Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.

NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

Time for some housekeeping:
Follow these steps to uninstall Combofix and tools used in the removal of malware
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the /U, it needs to be there.

To Clear Restore points, please do the following:
  • Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  • Double-click the System icon.
    • NOTE: If the System icon is not visible, click "View all Control Panel options" to display it.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • Put a check by Disable System Restore.
  • Click Apply, OK, OK. Click Yes when you are prompted to restart Windows.
After reboot, you must turn System Restore back on:
  • Go back to the Troubleshooting tab.
  • UNcheck Disable System Restore.
  • Click Apply, OK, OK. Click Yes when you are prompted to restart Windows.

Lastly, some extra or better security for your PC:

The programs recommended below are freeware alternatives to some of your security software & might reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future:-

Spyware Prevention:
Spyware Blaster by JavaCool Software, prevents spyware installing and consumes no system resources.
IE/SpyAd, stops suspect sites loading ActiveX, popups etc onto your PC. An excellent tutorial is Here

Spyware Detection:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is my favourite here.

Anti-Virus:
The first line of defence, especially since some will now detect trojans as well.
Avira's Antivir PersonalEdition Classic and Grisoft's Avast! Free Edition are among the best freebies.
*Please note* You should never install more than one anti-virus program on a PC, as it will cause conflicts.

Firewall:
A Firewall is an essential tool in the security of any PC connected to the Internet.
Sunbelt Personal Firewall and Comodo are both excellent freeware.

Alternate Browsers:
Thankfully, there are now some excellent alternatives to MS Internet Explorer. They offer better security, more stability, and better speed.
A couple of good examples are: Firefox and Opera

Other Updates:
Vital security patches and updates are available for Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer at the Windows Update Site
It is equally important to update the other security software you use, on a regular basis.

Further reading about these issues is available in a very good article: How did I get infected in the first place ? (by Tony Klein and dvk01)

All the best & safe surfing in the future,

Wooooww! :) I woke up today and turn on the computer and it gave me no errors. But i hadn't done anything in your last replay. I'll just make it to make sure it is safe now. Thank you Alot! Really appreciate your help. :)

My turn off system restore was Unchecked. Do leave it like that, it never was checked.

Does SuperAntiSpyware works as a spyware prevention or do i download one of the ones you told me to?

Hi Ivanpm,

That is good news.
I think System Restore is worth having turned on, just limit the amount of disk space it uses.
Many people reduce it down to 1 - 2 Gb max. by using the Settings button and adjusting the slider down from the standard 12%.

SuperAntiSpyware will provide real time protection for a limited time during the "trial period". After that time, you need to purchase a licence for it in order to get that protection.
I use Spyware Blaster to stop infections by the ActiveX layer, and a scanner (n imy case Malwarebytes Antimalware) on a regular basis.
You could use Spyware Blaster & SuperAntiSyware in the same manner.

Cheers,
