OK that showed nothing untoward with regards to hidden entries - After a lot of searching I have found a programme that will work in safe mode and is compatible with 98

Please download Trojan hunter from here http://www.misec.net/

Install the programme this is a 30 day free trial

Restart the computer
Watch the screen while it is black. After the BIOS memory check is done, start tapping the F8 key. If done right, the Windows boot menu will appear.
Select Safe Mode from the menu. Starting Windows in Safe Mode may take several minutes
Then run Trojan hunter
When you have finished removing the malware, restart the computer and Windows will start in normal mode

There should be a generated report here
C:\Program Files\trojanhunter 5.0\Scan reports
Please post that

Extra post.. I have been thinking about this. If I am wrong I apologise , but you do not appear to have a great deal of knowledge about computers. Therefore, I wonder if part of your problems may be that your systems is cluttered with junk, which is why the scans take so long

If that is the case then download Cleanup from here http://www.stevengou...o...8&Itemid=70 Installation instructions are on this page

Running instructions are on this page http://www.stevengou...o...3&Itemid=76

Having cleaned them then run defrag by going start > Run and then type defrag in the box.

Then run Trojan Hunter in safe mode as previously posted :)

Essexboy,

I downloaded Trojanhunter but got called out of town and wont be until a week or so before i can get back to computer. Hope we can pick up where we left off when i get back.

I did clean up the computer the best i could before i posted my first post with CCleaner and Diskeeper Lite also cleared cookies and internet files so I don't think its a matter of clutter.

Anyways hope we can pickup from where we left off when i return, you have been very helpfull so far THANKS :)
