e8200 underperforming, help!

Hello all,

I have just built a new computer with an e8200 processor and an msi p45 neo motherboard and xfx 8800gt. All seems to be running well, but it appears to be running a bit slow. I tried testing the machine with 3dmark06 and for the cpu test i get under 1 frame per second, less than i wuould have hoped. It ran the graphics card test fine.

I have checked the speed of the processor in the bios and cpuz and both say it is running at 2.66ghz as it should be.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
