Hello all..

I have a HP computer that doesn't have firewire. We need firewire to capture some video from a digtial camera. I suggested just getting a firewire card and putting it in, but there is physically not enough room inside the case to hold the firewire card...

So my question is...is there any other way to get firewire onto the computer?? I have been looking for a FIREWIRE TO USB converter but I cannot find anything...anyone got any other suggestions??

Thanks

Ok...replying to my own topic...

I did find a converting cable (through this forum) but there is a document saying that it is not possible: http://www.wisegeek....usb-adapter.htm

The converting cable I found was here.. http://www.pixela-1.com/captycable/

Not sure how good this converting cable is...anybody had any experience??

Well, if you can believe the information supplied, the cable has the electronics built into it to convert Firewire to USB. It may work better than buying the combo Firewire/USB Hub.
