My computer picked up something over the weekend. I installed Webroot's Spysweeper to try to remove it. It says it is detecting virtumonde but of course every time I try to quarantine and remove it upon restarting it is still there. I have spent all weekend trying to fix this problem. I am not 100% confident that it is virtumonde because I have run programs such as VundoFix and FxVMonde and they have detected nothing. I also ran a scan online through Windows Live, which detected a few severe items but didn't solve the problem. Worth noting, initially my desktop was altered and had a yellow box on it that said Your computer has been Infected With Spyware! Install Spyware Removal Software Immediately! (or something close to this). Somewhere along the lines in trying to fix the problem I managed to solve this problem. Any insight/help would be appreciated.
