:tazz: My PC has it's I.E. start page hijacked by www.Hotoffers.info/278. No matter what I do, I am not able to get rid of this hijacker. Everytime I start Internet Explorer, www.hotoffers.info/278 is the default URL/start page. Pop ups keep on popping every few second. It's unbearable. I run anti-spyware software to detect/remove this problem, to no avail. I run Hijackthis few times (in Normal mode), still to no avail. Below is the log. I am running out of solutions and need this PC back to normal. Any help is greatly appreciated. Help !!!!

The good news (I hope!!!) is that I think I got rid of the Hijacker Hotoffers.info by deleting the following DLL: C:\windows\system32\systr.dll. However, now a new pop up is coming up, BannersToGo or something to that effect. Something that starts with Banners....They keep on poping and I have no idea how to eliminate them. Also, how do I get back my Desktop Background. No matter what I set in Control Panel, Display, Desktop, I always get a white background for my Desktop. It does not change. Any help on your part is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Note: When I run Spy Sweeper, it determined that the following Adware where present: Begin2Search and Cws_jimbutt. Any suggestion as how to get rid of these adwares? Thanks.

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.

Select the Delete on reboot option.

In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the 'Delete File' button (red circle with a white X) after pasting:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\param32.dll

It will prompt you to reboot, press the NO button. Instead, copy and paste the following and click the 'Delete File' button again:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\systr.dll

When it prompts you to reboot this time, press the YES button.
