Hi,
I uninstalled Nero 7 Ultra Edition to try Nero 8.

Decided Nero 8 was no good so uninstalled 8

Reinstalled 7 Ultra Edition

Now both the DVDs and my 1G Flash drive won't open

A message pops up with the Flash Drive asking if it should be formatted

A message pops up with the DVDs saying that they might be corrupted

Both work as normal on a secondary computer.

... :)

Hello Rickles,

If the data on it must be recovered, try this one (free).

Regards,

I apologize if I am misunderstanding what you are saying, but from the sound of the orignial post - his data on the Flash Drive is intact.

@OP: If this is the case, see (when plugged in) if Device Manager sees the DVD Drive and Flash Drive.

Hi,

I unistalled Nero 7 and the computer opens both dvd and flash drive as normal, recognizes the drives and no problems.

So not only did I uninstal Nero 7 but I will use the Removal program. I have already used Searh to track as much of any Nero I can and I have deleted same.

I live in Australia so there might be a delay in reply due to the time difference.

Hello Rickles...

Do the drives show in My Computer?

Sometimes when uninstalling burning software it will leave changes to the registry that even the removal tools don't fix. Try running the Microsoft Autoplay Repair Wizard on your machine and see if things straighten out.

Hi wannabe1,

Found the problem!

Absolutley all traces of Nero and Ahead must be removed.

I used the Nero Removal Tool and then Searched in My Computer and Local C Drive to find all traces of the program.

Is there such an Uninstaller that can delete a program and leeave nothing left over?

Thank you for your time and trouble... :)

Just restore your system to the day before you uninstalled Nero 7 Ultra Edition.

Hello,

Revo Uninstaller will remove the applicaiton along with Registry entries. From there you would only have to go in to Program Files folder and delete the Ahead folder to have Nero or any other applicaiton fully removed from your system.
