Hello There,

I am having a major problem. my computer was full of spyware, and adware and so on... It was running very slow and sometimes hackers were taking over. I bought Norton 2005 and installed it, it seemed to be blocking some stuff but the computer did not imporve since norton does not remove this stuff..

i ran Ad-aware and spybot and more recently HIJACK THIS. when the log came up i deleted everything but the norton stuff. (yes i am an idiot and i don;t know how hijack this worked). no backup was done neither.

I noticed later that my computer is much faster, however i can no longer access secured websites... HOTMAIL, YAHOO mail, banks and so on....

I was reading about this and i realized that i may have deleted some stuff from the log that i probably shouldn't have.

I don't know what to do.

I don;t want to reformat the computer and i am wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Please Help,

RORO

I'm having the same problem, after getting rid of the Cool Web Search virus using Haijack This, I can no longer access my yahoo mail or internet banking.

First a few things: I can't stress this point enough.
Don't use programs that you are not familiar with, then just start randomly deleting things. (Enough Said)

Now lets see what we can do. Scan with HJT and place the log file in this thread by using Add Reply. Dont delete anything. You may have created a back up by chance.
