Hello,

Do you get a Blue Screen of Death during the install of XP? Is that what you mean when it stops?

Cheers,
Mak

Hi

What does the error-message say?
The exact wording is important, to locate
the fault.

Hello bagofpaper...

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode successfully?

The error you are getting is quite often caused by incorrect video drivers, though it can be caused by several other things, too...including incompatible BIOS versions.

Can you please not use all caps? It seen as shouting and is considered rude.

Let's look at device manager and see it it will give us a clue.

In Safe Mode, right click on My Computer and choose "Properties". Click on the "Hardware" tab, then the "Device Manager" button.

In Device Manager, do you see any yellow ! or ? icons displayed next to any of the listed devices?
