Hi,

I see you have Viewpoint installed...
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article: http://www.clickz.co...cle.php/3561546
I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player
The rest looks OK if it's that what you want to know....

This is because it's unloading the programs and some may take a whhile to unload. You have AVG8 installed and I've seen this behavior with this version quite frequently.
To improve system performance, read here: Help! My computer is slow!

By the way, why is your Firefox set to start up with Windows?
This is a bad idea... so check and fix next entry in HijackThis:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Firefox] C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

Also, what's the need for TuneUp Utilities 2006? It can make things worse if you don't use it properly:

after i uninstall viewpoint, my comp restarts and shut downs faster now without lagging at "saving your settings"
so you want me to uninstall tuneup 2006? and firefox is on startup so it automtically opens when i open my comp, is that bad?

thanks

Why do you use Tuneup utilities? If you know exactly how to use it, what Windows components that can be disabled and you understand what it exactly disabled... If you know, if it cleans the registry, if the key in the registry may indeed be cleaned or not, then keep it. In other cases, if you're not really sure what TuneUp Utilities exactly modifies in your System, I would uninstall it.

I do not recommend browsers to start up with Windows. It's a security Risk. What if your startpage is hijacked and on that startpage there's a script present which downloads and installs malware? So this means, if you let your browser start up with Windows, malware will be installed.
As a matter of fact, that's how malware used to do that... It adds a startup entry to open your browser after reboot.
