I'm sorry if this doesn't go here. I have a windows Vista and while I was rummaging around tonight I found a CD-RW that I had labeled myself, telling me that I had some old pictures in it and I am very curious to see those old photos. So I stick the CD in the drive (E:) and when I click the drive and open it and let the folder load, nothing's in there. It just says 'Drag files to this folder to add them to the disc.' When I look at the properties of the CD in the drive it says 664mb of 702 free so I KNOW something's in there, even if it isn't much. I've tried using Daemon Tools Lite to try and mount it but no avail.

What can I do (if anything)?

Please and thank you.

Hello Ilovedaniel,

I don't think this is a cause, but let's just rule it out to be safe...

Please go to My Computer, and click on the CD Drive

Next follow these instructions:
1) Click Organize (top left)
2) Selected and Click : Folder and Search Options
3) When the FOlder Options box opens, click on the 'View' Tab
4) From here, select 'Show hidden files and folders' under the Hidden Files and Folders section
5) Apply, and hit OK.

Let us know what goes down...

Regards,

It had already been chosen to show hidden files and folders.

Hello,

By any chance did you not finalize the disc when you burnt it last time? I have seen that happen a few times.

Cheers,
Mak

I can't give you a 100% positive answer that I DIDN'T but I'm pretty sure that I didn't.

Hello,

If the disc was not finalized then this is the type of issue you will get. If you burned it with Nero you might be able to open Nero Burning Rom and see if you can finalize it now.

Cheers,
Mak
