Trying to help my mom's decrepit old computer, but my fear is that she has downloaded a bunch of bogus/bad anti-spyware programs that don't do anything but slow down her computer more. She believes the popups that say "you have spyware" etc. And I really don't know what to do. I did a hijack this log and even changed the name to analyze so programs couldn't run from the hijackthis.exe. I hope i did it right, and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay.

In notepad go to Format and uncheck "Word Wrap", otherwise I won't be able to properly read your logs.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.
Note:These logs may be too large to post in one reply, if so, please post extra.txt in a seperate reply.
