pentium 4 vs dual core

how do u compare pentium 4 - 3ghz with dual core - 2ghz...

and with dual core E2180 - 2ghz, 1mb cache, 800mhz fsb
what motherboard u prefer among these;

Intel D945GCPE (775PINS - SND+AGP+LAN)
Intel D945GCNL (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN) PCX SLOT
Intel DG31PR (775PINS - SND+AGP+GIGA LAN - 1333MHZ FSB) PCX SLOT

check the comparison

please explain a bit about the board u prefer...

and pcx is old isnt it so? and what good it can bring?

Definitely go with the dual-core chip. The 2.0ghz on the dual core is really 4.0, since it's 2.0/core.

I would probably go with the DG31PR as it's got a better on-board video adapter then the others.

PCX was (in my understanding) in between PCI and PCI-express. Yeah, it's kind of old, but not as old as PCI.
