Installation of a program contained a virus, Antivirus 2008 appeared, against the background of the area it has a large red warning and next hours VIRUS ALERT. I finished installing and restarted computer but after loading, only the desktop and cursor appears. No icons, no bars, no tabs, nothing at all. I wanted to run explorer.exe, but the virus has blocked me manager.

I have received thus into emergency mode, I succeeded to install Kaspersky antivirus, but he has an old database, which found nothing and update of the emergency regime is not possible. I had Nod32, but it didn't wok, I succeeded to install Avast, deleted a few viruses, but the problem still persists. Any ideas? I know that reinstalling Windows would be the best option, but i wanna try something else. Thanks for the help.

Hello, and welcome to Geeks To Go.
I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
