Right then lets start cleaning this one

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

F0 - system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SMrhc9rfj0en7l] C:\Program Files\rhc9rfj0en7l\rhc9rfj0en7l.exe
O16 - DPF: {3585526B-10F8-07A3-55D1-B5777145E1E6} () - http://performanceop...ng/SoftInst.cab

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

THEN

@echo off
sc stop Odsppppdmpu
sc delete Odsppppdmpu
exit

Next you will need to create the batch fix to do that copy and paste ALL of the above in the quote box to a notepad file.
Then in the text file go to FILE > SAVE AS and in the dropdown box select SAVE AS TYPE to ALL FILES
Then in the FILE NAME box type fix.bat

This will create a batch file Posted Image

Then run fix.bat by double clicking you may see a black box appear this is normal

NEXT

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it.
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\pphccrfj0en7l.exe
    C:\Program Files\rhc9rfj0en7l
    C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\8EA3D9DF83647E37.job
    C:\Documents and Settings\Julian\Application Data\rhc9rfj0en7l
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\prhifswm.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bsvajqkq.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mklfmtng.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\nada64.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\scvhost
    Purity
  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

FINALLY FOR NOW

    • NOTE: You will need to temporarily disable any programs you have running that will block attempts to edit the registry. As FixIEDef calls REGEDIT to delete registry keys added by Zlob, Trojan.Downloader.Delf, AntiSpyPro, and IE Defender.
  • Download FixIEDef.exe by ShadowPuterDude to the Desktop.
Note: FixIEDef now supports Non-English Language Systems

  • Double-click FixIEDef.exe:
    Posted Image

  • That will open the About FixIEDef screen. Click OK to continue:
    Posted Image

  • Next, press the Scan! button:
    Posted Image

  • FixIEDef needs to run as Administrator to perform correctly. This message simply confirms it was able to run with admin privileges. Click OK to continue:
    Posted Image

  • Wait for the scan to finish. It shouldn't take very long:

    Posted Image

    Posted Image

    • WARNING: FixIEDef will kill all copies of Internet Explorer and Explorer that are running, during removal of malicious files. The icons and Start Menu on your Desktop will not be visible while FixIEDef is removing malicious files. This is necessary to remove parts of the infection that would otherwise not be removed.
  • After the !!! All Finished !!! message is displayed, click Exit:
    Posted Image

  • Post the FixIEDef log file, located on the Desktop.

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

    See: http://www.beyondlog...processutil.htm

Mirrors: Alternate official download locations for FixIEDef.exe

Logs required : OTMoveit, FixIEDef and a new Hijackthis log.. Then try the net again

OK this may be the final run

Please visit this web page for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix

http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet. It is imperative that you install this as it will enable a system recovery in the event of problems

For more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, when you reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. Don't select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

ok.....the computer is running better........just a little slow especially when I log into it.........I have to wait until everything loads before I can do anything.....not sure if it is because of the other operating system that is on it or because of all the programs that start up when i log on......

It is nearly midnight here now so I will post my recommendations tomorrow - meanwhile ....

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean :)

Double click OTMoveIt2 once again and you should see a CleanUp! button, press that button, you may get prompted by your firewall that OTMoveIt2 wants to contact the internet, allow this, a cleanup.txt will be downloaded, a message dialog will ask you if you want to proceed with the cleanup process, click Yes. This will delete all the tools you have downloaded plus itself

Now to get you off to a good start we will re-set your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your your restore point but this is my method:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.
2. On the dialogue box that appears select Create a Restore Point
3. Click NEXT
4. Enter a name e.g. Clean
5. Click CREATE

You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup.
2. In the Drop down box that appears select your main drive e.g. C
3. Click OK
4. The System will do some calculation and the display a dialogue box with TABS
5. Select the More Options Tab.
6. At the bottom will be a system restore box with a CLEANUP button click this
7. Accept the Warning and select OK again, the program will close and you are done

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free program: It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

To keep your operating system up to date visit

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?

Keep safe :)

ok done all that now can you help on the load up time......it takes so long before I can do anything when I sign in, I have to wait for everything to start running..........I think maybe there are too many programs running at start up. also I want to remove one of the operating systems on this computer because when updates are done overnight and the system reboots it reboots into the other operating system that is not completly loaded. Also I get these pop ups when I log in, is there a reason why and how to fix them? see attachments

OK so if I understand right you have TWO OS's on this system :) which one do you get the popups on as there is nothing in your logs referencing those files which appear to be Virtumondo. Am I getting the right logs from the right OS ?

We will now do a deep search of your processes and files

Download avz4.zip from here
  • Unzip it to your desktop to a folder named avz4
  • Double click on AVZ.exe to run it.
  • Run an update by clicking the Auto Update button on the Right of the Log window: Posted Image
  • Click Start to begin the update
Note: If you recieve an error message, chose a different source, then click Start again

  • Start AVZ.
  • Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the "Healing/Quarantine and Advanced System Investigation" check box.
  • Click on the “Execute selected scripts”.
  • Automatic scanning, healing and system check will be executed.
  • A logfile (avz_sysinfo.htm) will be created and saved in the LOG folder in the AVZ directory as virusinfo_syscure.zip.
  • It is necessary to reboot your machine, because AVZ might disturb some program operations (like antiviruses and firewall) during the system scan.
  • All applications will work properly after the system restart.

When restarted

  • Start AVZ.
  • Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the “Advanced System Investigation" check box.
  • Click on the "Execute selected scripts".
  • A system check will be automatically performed, and the created logfile (avz_sysinfo.htm) will be saved in the LOG folder in the AVZ directory as virusinfo_syscheck.zip.

Attach both zip files to your next post

To attach a file, do the following:
  • Click Add Reply
  • Under the reply panel is the Attachments Panel
  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box
  • Click on Posted Image to insert the attachment into your post

Correct I have two OS.....but only one is completly loaded.......the other one only gets to a screen that asks for the discs to install..........so the pop ups are only on this one that I am on right now........
I will post again when I do the clean up
