DVD writer/ CD writer cannot write or read CD-R

Lightscribe DVD Writer/ CD-Writer on PC will not read or write CD-R. Can read DVDs and other software disks. It used to read and writes these CD-Rs just fine before. Any advice?

Laser's probably toast.
Replace the drive or send it back if it's in warranty.
