I have a computer in the shop that uses a USB wirless adapter to connect. Everything appears to be set up properly, and the computer gets an IP address, but when I try to go online it won't display any webpages. I also can't access it over the network from any other computers, nor can I download email through MS Outlook.

When I plug the comp into a wired network, it works perfectly.

The computer had been running Norton ISS, but it had expired so I yanked it out using a removal tool. I also ran the McAfee removal tool just in case that might have been installed before and not been uninstalled properly. I installed CA anti-virus/anti-spyware, and the AV picked up a couple infections that it cleaned. By all rights, this computer should be online with the wireless, unless maybe the USB device itself isn't working right, but everything shows up properly in the Device Manager.

Now, this computer uses AT&T Communication Manager to manage the wireless networks instead of the Windows utility. I've been getting errors that this has expired. Could this be causing the problem?

Figured it out.. the problem appears to be the AT&T utility... I disabled that and connected with Windows and it's working fine.
