There are two progs. on my comp i can't uninstall or get rid of. They are Warning Center and IE Brows Tool. WC is 0.01mb and IEBT is 24.88mb. I got to control panel to remove progs. and every time i try to uninstall them i get a message saying "You should Reboot Computer before uninstalling. Reboot now?" The window says "Attention" in the title bar. I have tried it in safe mode and same thing happens. I need HELP! I am running spyware blaster, winpatrol, and Norton 360. None of them found anything wrong. What can I do to get rid of them?

I am having the same problem....I didn't realize IE Browse Tool was a bad guy, too! I thought it had to do with Internet Explorer & was supposed to be there.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

Sari,
Thank you! I used the Smitfraudfix and it looks like everything is ok ~knocking on wood~ I will go ahead and read eveything else instead of being overwhelmed and in too much of a hurry to find answers....Especially when they are right under my nose!
You are awesome! :)
