Dear All

I am a newbie and I am at a loss.

Two laptops connect to my wireless router [Linksys WAG354G]. Thursday morning i woke up to find that now only one connects to the net and i don't know why - i have tried everything i know since then to get it back on track.

The machine is running Xp. It can ping and see my router fine but not the internet. I have tried reboots, playing with network connections, rebooting the router and finaly resetting the router to factory defaults. All have proved the same, no internet connection.

The vista laptop has been fine - I have even tried comparing the ipconfig /all files and can't see the difference [please shout if you can].

From the command prompt.
ping google.com and see if you get any replies, packet sent/loss.
ping the IP as well 64.233.167.147
while on the command prompt, might as well do an ipconfig /flushdns
from your browser, try accessing google using the ip address above.

let us know with the results..
