I have cleaned my brothers computer from a virus and now I am unable to connect tot he internet. One problem is I keep getting TCP\IP transport not installed. I have run XP TCPIP repair but I am still not able to connect to the internet.
Desktop doctor shows: LocalHost is reachable. Default Gateway 192.... is reachable and DNS Server is reachable. But No Primary WINS server configured, No Secondary WINS server configured. I can't connect to the internet! I have probably uninstalled something that showed a false positive (got into to big of a hurry)! XP Network Diagnostics says to Contact the company that provides you with XP product support.
I also get an error on start saying C Windows\system32\cvtwbrxk.dll could not be found. What is CVTWBRXK.dll? I find no information about it online.
HELP PlEASE!!!! Thanks.

If you have XP installation CD put in the drive. When Windows open click exit. Click Start > run. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Windows will use the files on the CD to repair corrupted system files.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
