My daughter went to a website after closing it, I had a blue screen giving me a warning about trojan-spy.html. After running everything I have on my computer. I got rid of the blue screen. But can no longer get onto the internet. I even went as far as format c: Which was probably stupid, but in desperation, we all do desperate things. Can you please tell me, How I can get my internet to work again? Everything else seems fine.

Thanks

Welcome to GTG.

Did you format the c: drive? And it still won't work?

Try this:
Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it.

Yes in dos mode I put in format c: it cleared everything, then I reinstalled windows and my internet explorer is still not working.

I tried the winsock, still nothing. I know my internet is connected, because I'm on my kids computer.

So you did a clean install of XP? That should have work. The only thing I can think of now is that your modem/network card is at fault since the other computer works.
