Hi everyone

I'm having an issue with a fairly new laptop, its an HP Pavilion dv6626us. When it's plugged into a power outlet, it can suddenly become unresponsive. Normally it happens within 5 - 10 minutes of plugging in. Most of the time I can still move the cursor but cannot click anything or toggle between any screens. Sometimes it freezes completely. Either way, I have to hold down the power outlet to manually turn off the machine, and wait hours for the battery to charge back up to continue my work on battery. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like AC adapter, or more likely the motherboard. Contact HP technical support, by Chat or by phone at 800-474-6836 for a system board replacement.

Would it make sense to say that cleaning my temporary files fixed the problem? I'm now currently fighting a virus on here and I used ATF Cleaner... now i still have the virus problem, but my computer is not freezing on AC power anymore. So far...
