for Outlook Express

for full outlook (that comes as part of office):
  • open outlook
  • click file
  • click import/export
  • choose export to file
  • choose a file type (PST is the easiest)
  • highlight contacts
  • press next
  • choose a location
  • press finish
  • transfer that file to the new machine and do this process over except by choosing import instead of export
