hey all
its been 3 days and this windows update wont disappear when i turn off it says installing 2 updates when i turn on the pc again i see the windows update icon appearing again everytime i try to install the updates its giving me an error updates not installed so what do you think is the problem here

hey umm thanks for replying but unforunately both methods didnt work
is there something missing some file or program that needs to be installed

Also, is it 'Windows Update' or 'Microsoft Windows Update'.
There is a difference though they are both Microsoft.

its the normal windows update the yellow icon with exclamation mark

did you run the program ATF-Cleaner?

hey man i tried alll of them and none fixed this windows update do you think i have a spyware running around
the 2 updates are microsoft outlook 2003 and microsoft outlook 2003 email junk filter

in the windows update their is admin opyions
switch it to the other microsoft windows update

then update your ms office by way of the update in help in ms office

admin options or that other settings control on the left
i can't remember which one
but it will change to only upgrading windows os
and not the rest of the ms products on your computer

that stupid yellow triangle still shows up on one of my computers
put my , mouse on it and it disappears

they should have fixed xp before this vista stuff

Please download MGADiag.exe to your desktop.

Double-click MGADiag.exe and click Continue in the bottom right of the window to run the tool.

Click the [Copy] button to copy the info to your clipboard.

Then come back here and paste the info in your next reply please.

Please download Dial-A-Fix.
Unzip the folder found in the archive to a place you can remember. For example: C:\DialAFix
Then follow the steps below.
  • Browse to the folder where you saved Dial-A-Fix.
  • Open Dial-a-fix.exe
  • Tick the following boxes:
    Fix Windows Update
    Empty temp folders
  • In the bottom left press the GO Button.
Note that ticking a box might tick others too. Leave them ticked!
