Hi,

my PC was recently infected with Outerinfo - installed it (using the un-install tool provided by them), ran AVG (which found several other threads and removed them) but the problem is re-occurring: every time I open a web page an additional page will usually follow.

Should I run Combo Fix or HijackThis yet or should I try other removal tools first? (i.e: malwarebytes, superantispyware or spybot)

Thanks

This Additional page called pop up?If yes then the virus have nothing to do with it and you will have to go at:In your web and click Tools>options...>content and check if the box which tells "block pop up windows" and if not checked check it.
If they are pop up pages this should resolve the problem.

It looks like you may have unresolve malware issues. Please follow all of the instructions in this thread, which will resolve 80% of your problems. If that still doesn't do it, follow the instructions to post a Hijack This! log so we can make sure there are no more traces of Outerinfo.
