I have windows XP. I have done everything possible to make my printer HP Deskjet 3840 work. I get an error message stating: the required section was not found in the INF, however, the driver still continues to install, but the printer does not work. I have tried to disconnect the usb cable, and start again, and doing it many different ways, yet, I still get this message. Can you help me? :tazz:

What do you mean from where, the printer is new. Everything came in the closed box, along with the disk. I have a scanner plugged into the parallel port where printers usually go, but this one im putting in one of the usb plugs at the back. Someone told me that it should also work that way, but maybe I have to somehow select the port being used, i don't know what to do?
