History Issue, FF3, Vista

I am having an issue maintaining my history using Firefox. Firefox forgot my history, and upon checking the checkbox in options (shown below), it does not prompt an error message, but upon reopening the options box, the tick box is again blank, and history is not being recalled at all.

Try launching FF in safe mode and see if the selection for history stays. If it does so, then you may have an add in that is causing issues.
