Is there a program that I can get for vista to use to dial a number with the modem to test for dialtone. I used to use Hyper terminal but it no longer resides in vista.

If you just want to check a dialtone is being received and that the modem works, set up a new connection and tell it to call your mobile. If it rings, the modem is working.

Thanks That slipped my mind. I set up the connection, but it was not as straigt forward as XP. Thanks
