I began having problems with yieldmanager (and specifically when opening my Yahoo! email) yesterday. I scanned my computer using my Spyware (Webroot Spy Sweeper) and Antiviurs (Trend Micro Antivirus), quarantined/deleted the files and thought the problem was fixed. Nope.

I then used a system restore from last week and ran the scans again. It worked well for the first few times I checked email, and then it was back. I tried a system restore one more time from 3 weeks ago and haven't had any visual problems checking email. It says at the bottom of the page that it is still going/pointing to ad.yieldmanager in some way, but it does not redirect me away from the original page. Also, the yieldmanager cookies/files still show up in system scans.

I have followed the pre-posting steps and my HJT log and Uninstall list are below. If there is anything else malignant you see on my system, please let me know how to handle those files as well. Thank you beforehand for all of your help; sometimes these computers seem like more of a hindrance than a helper.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following if they still exist and hit 'Fix Checked' after you checked the last one:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F8D4A306-7F40-4AFC-A7EA-83C93D6B5C39} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\khfdCVlK.dll (file missing)

Download Malwarebytes ' Anti-Malware at http://www.besttechi.../mbam-setup.exe or http://www.majorgeek...ware_d5756.html Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform Full Scan, then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart (see Extra Note below).
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy & paste the entire report into your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Go to http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix and follow the instructions on how to install the Recovery Console and run ComboFix. Go through all the steps until posting the log part. Post the combofix log here.

Good job. Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware infections, read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If none, go to Start->Run, copy/paste in combofix /u and hit OK to remove it. You should be set to go.
